To Whom it May Concern It was easy to call us forbidden and harder to call us soulmates Yet I believed we were both Forbidden soulmates When I arrived to Edgewood Wisconsin I didn’t plan to find him I didn't plan to stumble into Joe's bar and have Daniel's music stir up my emotions I had no clue that his voice would make my hurts forget their own sorrow I had no idea that my happiness would remember its own bliss When I started senior year at my new school I wasn’t prepared to call him Mr Daniels but sometimes life happens at the wrong time for all the right reasons Our love story wasn’t only about the physical connectionIt was about family It was about loss It was about being alive It was silly It was painful It was mourning It was laughterIt was ours And for those reasons alone I would never apologize for Loving Mr Daniels Ashlyn Jennings

Maximum amount of stars I can give ♥
I think that it is very possible that I just found my favorite book of 2014 Loving Mr Daniel’s was THAT GOOD I can’t think of one thing I didn’t love about this story The impact it had on me was major I laughed I cried I loved every single page I can’t recommend this one enough Ashlyn Jennings is a girl after my own heart You know what the best thing about purses was? They could carry around books
But on a serious note Ashlyn has dealt with a loss Not a normal loss a profound loss that has changed her entire world Her life has been turned upside down and she’s just trying to survive pick up the pieces amongst all the changes She’s starting her senior year off in a new place surrounded by strangers On her way to her new place she runs into a guy A gorgeous guy who happens to grab her attention in a big way His eyes were so blue and filled with interest For a second I thought they were a passageway to a different world Beautiful
BreathtakingBrilliantBlue eyes I sighed Maybe there were a passageway to a better world
When these two met and connected I felt the world shift They define the words ‘meant to be’ From the first time they hang out together you can just tell They have a deep connection They have so much in common it’s uncanny For the first time in a long time Ashlyn feels something besides grief sadness and anger “You know what I like about you so far?”“What’s that?”
“Everything” Daniel makes her feel things she’s never felt The texts the letters the Shakespeare Things between them just click into place Until Ashlyn’s first day of school that is Ashlyn struggles With loving Daniel and Mr Daniels being her teacher It takes her a while to see that they really are one in the same He was still there Daniel wasn’t merely Mr Daniels he was still himself And I was still on his mind the same way he lived in mine Maybe there weren’t two different Daniels Maybe Mr Daniels was just another part of him So it wasn’t surprising that I had fallen for both sides of the coin I was crazy about all of him the good the bad and the broken pieces I think I liked the broken pieces the most “I think you’re beautiful And I don’t mean your looks I mean your smarts your protectiveness your brokenness I think that’s beautiful”
“I don’t want to be your friend I want to be yours I want you to be mine and I hate that we can’t be us Because I think we were meant to be us” I could go on and on about this story all day but it would be an injustice for me to try and retell any of the rest It’s one you have to read for yourself Both characters are magnificent I loved the Shakespeare ties between them It was ‘their thing’ Daniel may be the most romantic and swoonworthy hero ever He quotes poetry he’s a musician and he is just too sweet and lovable Ashlyn was relatable She was strong brave and wonderful They were both real And it wasn’t just the two of them that I loved Some of the supporting characters were just as essential to the story as Ashlyn and Daniel were Hailey Ryan even Gabby Ryan stole my heart from the moment I met him Favorite character of the book right there The love between Daniel and Ashlyn was powerful It was beautiful and it was eternal If you believe in people being soul mates being meant to be this couple will solidify that If you don’t believe in that sort of thing after reading LMD you just might This story was so much than just a romance between a student and a teacher SO MUCH MORE It’s a story of forgiveness of healing finding acceptance following your dreams and following your heart There were so many quotes that moved me “The best things in life aren’t easy They are tough they are painful and they are raw That makes the arrival to the final destination that much sweeter”
“Pretending to be happy is almost like being happy Until you remember that you’re only pretending Then you’re sad Really sad Because wearing a mask every day of your life is the hardest thing to do After a while you get a little scared because the mask becomes you”“Humans weren’t made to be perfect Daniel We were made to screw up fuck up and learn new things We were made perfectly imperfect”
Maybe home wasn’t a location Maybe it’s simply the people who you were surrounded with that make you feel as you could be whoever you wanted to be Maybe home was friendship I fell in love with this book Completely and utterly in love I was inspired and moved by what I read The very best studentteacher book I’ve ever read There were so many times I forgot it was a studentteacher book I was so focused on the all consuming love between these two people There was some conflict but there was so much to the story There was a part of this story that gutted me My cried and teared up than once but one scene in particular destroyed me But I wasn’t in tears the entire time I had a huge grin on my face for a lot of the book The was laughter tears and the feeling of a full heart once I’d finished LMD is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever read It was perfect perfect The writing was out of this world There were parts that reminded me of a Coleen Hoover book and other parts that reminded me of a Jessica Park book they are two of my favorite authors and a lot of it was a style all of Ms Cherry’s own I just want everyone I know to pick this book up read it and come back to me and tell me how much you loved it too It was a truly ‘GOLDEN’ read and one I can’t recommend enough “You’re the reason people believe in tomorrow You’re the voice that scares the shadows away You’re the love that makes me breathe” Our hearts would always beat for one another Our souls were destined to burn together in a mystifying flame that lit with universe with hope and passion
